Anti-climax
Jan. 5th, 2004 11:28 pmBack to work today -- wasn't as bad as I feared, despite the fact that I had that dreadful 'I don't want to got back to school'-feeling that I haven't had since I was at school.
At least, I got some planning done on the assignment that I need to hand in by the 15th of January. Also started to learn some JavaScript, which is quite good fun, although, so far I can't do anything useful.
Tomorrow is the day of the first difficult meeting with my boss in the wake of last semester's hellishness. I am not looking forward to it.
Also, something I have been waiting for for quite a while sort of came to pass, except it was a real anti-climax. I guess, if you look forward to something too much, you set yourself up for disappointment. If you don't hope and anticipate, then maybe there's no disappointment. But how can you stop yourself from looking forward to something? Meditation, maybe? Got to get back to doing Yoga regularly.
