My snow experience -- for behold Carlisle is a usually snowfree zone, despite getting quite cold at times, unlike t'other side of the country -- was somewhat surreal.

I went to teach at 11. At 11.45 my students suddenly began to fidget and make concerned sounds. I realised that they were looking out of the window and...

... Corblimey! Blizzard time!

The world looked grey and within about 20 minutes there were about 2 inches of snow!

It was all icey and slippy by the time I headed home and I nearly fell over qite spectacularly. Managed to save myself, but pulled bits of me in painful fashions. Will have to walk very cautiously on way into work tomorrow.

But I like snow. Especially when it is followed by beautiful sunshine for a few hours and all looks bright.
